The American Heart Association
Free* CPR and First Aid (Heart Saver) Instructor Course

This course is designed for
non-medical people that have strong CPR skills to become AHA CPR/First
Aid Instructors (Heart Saver). Students
that complete this course will receive a Heart Saver/First Aid (lay person)
Instructor card. All students MUST
have and bring to class the below instructor material.
Date: March 22 and 23. Both days must be attended for new instructors.
Time: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm both days.
Place: Walter J. Cameron Center at 95 Mahalani Street; Wailuku, HI
Students must bring the following to class each day:

Current BLS Heart Saver card
§
AHA Heart Saver First Aid with CPR, AED and
Pediatric Text (Product # 70-2287, $12.50)
§
Heart Saver First Aid Instructor Manual
(Product # 70-2563, $25)
§
AHA Instructor Manual – Basic Life Support
(Product # 70-2048, $35)
Failure to bring
required materials will result in failure of the course.

Deadline
for signing up is March 11, 2005.
Course Completion
Requirements;
ü
Must achieve > 84% on all provider and
instructor exams.
ü
Must complete all requirements of Instructor
Course.
ü
Must participate in all aspects of the course
including skills demo.
ü
Must maintain Heart Saver Instructor status.
ü
Must be monitored and turn in report before
card will be issued.
ü
Must teach 4 BLS courses over 2-year period.
ü
Must pay for Heart Saver Instructor Card
(will also issue Provider card as needed) – TBA (approximately $5.00 for each
card)
